Nature in Loughborough
At 245m (802 feet), Beacon Hill is the second highest point in Leicestershire and the site of a Bronze Age hill fort with over 100 hectares of heath and woodland. A toposcope at the summit indicates landmarks visible including Lincoln Cathedral and the Peak District. Features a collection of native trees, picnic and play areas, a cafe at the lower car park and permanent orienteering markers.
